It looks like Michelle Dong Xuan has finally had it with Gavin Gao Yunxiang. Can you blame her? Yesterday, there were already rumors claiming that the two have filed for divorce. Today, several media outlets have reported that the news has been made official. The couple have indeed ended their marriage of 8 years and the divorce proceedings were completed in March.

To anyone who followed the couple last year, the news hardly comes as surprise. After Gao was arrested in Australia on allegations of sexual assault, Michelle had initially stated that she believed her husband and even flew in several times with their daughter to stand by him in his time of need. The aftermath of the sexual assault case is quite messy and the actor is still residing in Australia after posting bailGao's career has been ruined beyond repair,  his assets which he initially shared with his wife were frozen and producers were seeking to make him compensate them for their losses in Legend of Ba Qing.

Throughout the ordeal, Michelle Dong had to hold down the fort and take care of their 3-year-old daughter and other matters by herself.  I have to commend Michelle Dong for sticking it out for as long as she did. She did her duty as a wife and mother despite her husband's infidelity.  Netizens have expressed their support for Michelle, saying that it was the best thing to do since Gavin broke her trust and brought ruin to their family.

Like they say, what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.  Hopefully, Michelle will be able to find happiness again one day.

  1. Good for Michelle! She and her daughter are better off without that snake.

    1. I think it is just to save their money from claims of damages hence no choice but to divorce for now.

    2. @ Sabo:

Exactly. By doing that they cannot make her liable for his problems. That way they can't touch her assets and money.

    3. True about the snake. And it's definitely more than a money issue. Like who on this planet would want to stay with someone who sexually assaults people? lol.
