Xing Zhaolin is the black-bellied boss opposite Bai Lu in First Love

Xing Zhaolin (Eternal Love Season 2) is seriously on a roll when it comes to work! After wrapping Blowing in the Wind last month, he has managed to squeeze in another project by month-end such that filming began for his new drama First Love 世界欠我一个初恋 on August 31, 2018.

The title literally hints at the world owing the main character, played by Bai Lu (King is Not Easy), a first love, which she presumably finds in Xing Zhaolin. Both in their early twenties, Xing Zhaolin and Bai Lu have not been in the industry for a long time, but they've been building up a portfolio by way of web dramas, which in some cases, is actually good because its less restrictive and wholly entertaining in cooking up a wacky fun romance. He's the black-belied boss of a gaming company, she's been single for life and sparks fly! I'm kind of sold on the cute concept.  Also in the cast are Zhai Zilu, Chen Haolan, Liu Ruoyuan and Huang Jidong

    1. I just hope it doesnt turn out like sweet dreams that promised fluff and ended up being nonsensical angst mostly

  2. Sounds cute! I actually prefer him in modern clothes than costume drama.

  3. I'm glad this is a web drama. Less episodes and less broadcasting restrictions. Most dramas I enjoyed this year have been web dramas.

    1. I agree. I'm beginning to prefer web dramas this year. Only thing is I wish they had a better budget

    2. I think its really interestinv what web dramas can do with a limited budget though.looking at bloody romance, it had a small budget but it had stunning cinematography and really looked like a high quality production with great aesthetics. Comparitively say, hsaf had a big budget but i would say was a little lacking in finesse despite having pretty cgi and nice settings. It lacked the look of a high budget production. But i do agree i would love to see what web dramas could do with a bigger budget.

    3. @Anonymous: Oh, I totally agree with you it's impressive what some of these web dramas do with their limited budget, Bloody Romance is a good example of that. But sometimes it is obvious the budget means they have had to skimp on costumes or scenes and it can be distracting so it would be nice if they had a bit more money to play with.
