Continuing the story are Mo Liancheng and Qu Xiaotan who meet each other all over again. Qu Xiaotan appears to have never met him before, neither does she know anything about their future. Mo Liancheng alone retains all of their memories and he is pained to see that Qu Xiaotan cannot recognize him. He still silently loves her and now, it is his goal to make her fall in love with him again.

The first season turned out to be a surprise success and this season can either satisfy the audience or ruin everything. It seems quite promising though and there's a considerable improvement in quality due to the bigger budget. Let's just hope that they bring the comedy and sizzling chemistry back to the small screen. There is no release date yet but there are signs that it will be sooner rather than later!

Release Date: October 22, 2018 Tencent (two episodes every Monday and Tuesday at 10pm), members watch next week's episodes in advance

  1. Looks like they actually have a budget this season. The costumes in the first season were some of the worst I have ever seen in a costume drama! The poor actor who played the younger brother must be so relieved he doesn't have to dress like an extra from Sesame Street anymore.

    2. Omg yess? The leads’ outfits arent as bad but the rest was awful. I remember thinking all these noblemen and the king looked freaking cheap. You can tell their hair is a wig from the bad styling and their clothes are just. I knew it wasnt a big budget production but I’ve seen other dramas on similar scale w better props lol

    3. I thought the younger brother was going to end up being The Monkey King. Every time I see him and movies or TV shows he always has ridiculous outfits like that. LO
