C-drama Ratings and Celeb Rankings (week starting May 15)

Ode to Joy Season 2
Ode to Joy continues to take the lion's share of ratings with both its broadcasts coming in first and second. It's hard not to when you have Wang Kai and Olivia Wang heating up the screen and that's just one of many lovey-dovey pairs.

Now that Surgeons and Star April has ended, Song of Phoenix moves up the line to settle for fourth, or rather third place among the primetime shows. White Deer Plain averages at around 0.5 on each of its two networks, which technically adds up to a higher number than Song of Phoenix.

Competition seems quite tepid otherwise that even reruns like Above the Clouds and Undercover are also breaking into top ten. For curiosity's sake, I read up on the plot for the latter and it tells a thrilling story based on 38 real life police cases. I'm already intrigued.

On the 10pm front, the rankings remain roughly the same with Fighter of the Destiny still pulling ahead while Operation Love and Legend of Dragon Pearl stay in the low 0.1-0.2 range. Given that I'm religiously following Fighter of the Destiny, I'm still unabashedly proud that Luhan has been topping the vlinkage celeb list for weeks.

  2. Thank you for the ratings.

Good for Ode to Joy! always good to see a female-led show leading the ratings. Wang Kai and Olivia Wang are great actors as I don't see Xu Xu or Ji Bai from "When A Snail..." at all when I see them together in Ode to joy.

Is Fighter of Destiny that interesting or is it Luhan's star power?

It's such a simple premise but it seems no one can do Operation Love as well as the Japanese. The Korean version underperformed too.
