It's a wrap for The King's Woman

The King's Woman Dilraba Dilmurat
I love that all the leads are happily flashing the Asian pose to celebrate their last day. On March 18, The King Woman 丽姬传 starring Dilraba Dilmurat (Pretty Li Hui Zhen), Vin Zhang Bin Bin (Eternal Love), Liu Chang (Novoland) and Li Qin finally wrapped after three months of filming.

Dilraba Dilmurat looks super adorable despite being covered in heavy armor from head to toe. She posted on weibo, "Our Li Er (her character in King's Woman) finished filming today, special thanks to everyone in the crew who was constantly pranked by me, to the respected and beloved director and all the actors. Love you all."

The King's Woman Zhang Bin Bin
Zhang Bin Bin seemed to have filmed his final scene in a different place altogether though he also posted, "Today I will be saying goodbye to my days as an Emperor from the ancient times, from the moment I became a King until the day I reverted to myself, thank you for this three months of rewarding experience in the Qin Dynasty, also thanks to the tireless contribution of everyone in the crew, hope in time, we meet again in jianghu."

The King's Woman
It is highly-anticipated for many reasons but most of all for bringing together Ten Miles of Peach Blossom's "Feng Jiu" and "Li Jing". It's always a treat to be able to see people having a blast behind the scenes especially with a story like The King's Woman that is set during a momentous yet difficult time in history, one that is sure to have its share of heartrending moments.

Given the attention that the show's been receiving, I am crossing my fingers that it will air very soon though it may take a while since the show is just entering post-production.

    1. Hi riley elizabeth - are you the same one from twitter? :) I watched the Legend of Qin which is technically the sequel and from the looks of it, their story didn't end well there... i feel like they will do things differently though so we won't know till we watch. i'm definitely looking forward to this.

  2. Yes, I am! Hello, Anne J! :) I did say I'm always lurking around. XD Is the Legend of Qin worth watching? I hope she won't have to die in this new drama! I'm really excited to see Fengjiu & Li Jing here. Please don't go The Princess Weiyoung on us. ^_^

  3. *coming up for air from watching 3lives 3worlds*
This does look awfully tempting but I have to agree about the dying. I've long ago decided that my life is too short to watch sad endings. I'll hope for the best and put it in my "potential drama watching"-folder. ;-)
*sinking back into her binge-watching* Waaaaah, this is just so good! It can't be Sunday evening already!

  4. Yay! Exciting news! Thanks for the update and the lovely pictures.

I am so looking forward to this drama but I feel we are going to have to brace ourselves for plenty of angst and sadness based on the synopsis and the actual history of Ying Zheng. I'm happy the drama is making Ying Zheng a lead character compared to the book where, from my understanding, he is more of a peripheral character. Means more ZBB, more focus on the relationship between Ying Zheng and Sun Li and Vin and Dilraba's great chemistry! I hope they explore Ying Zheng's character too. I've read a little about the First Qin Emperor and his early life was very interesting.

I just ventured into weibo armed with my Google Translate and it appears there are a few gifs from some leaked and swiftly deleted footage. I don't know how to post gifs but here is a link (hope it works!): http://www.weibo.com/2250108614/EAdGU58b5?type=comment#_rnd1489948079340

Can I ask if you know what the Chinese title translates to please? It doesn't seem to be the same as the English title.

    1. The Chinese title 丽姬传 translates to The Legend of Lady Li. The King's Woman sounds better imo.

  5. @ Anonymous: Thank you so much for the translation. I prefer 'The King's Woman' title too. It's more distinctive and is more accurate to the plot. I suppose they are going for the palace drama feel with the Chinese title like 'Legend of Mi Yue' and 'Legend of Zhen Huan'

    1. Dulce Dy: Is there any need for such a rude post? All the actors and crew worked hard on this drama and plenty of people are interested which is why Drama Panda posted news. No one cares whether you because you are fixated on an ended drama. Go post in the thread for that drama then and leave this one alone! Your post is very rude and uncalled for.

  9. I really hope Yin Zheng and Li will have a happy ending! I know this is far fetched since most historical dramas have sad endings but still... TT
Can I just say that Zhang Vin and Dilraba have great chemistry like I ship them in real life?? ;D
