It's easy to figure out who's who once you look into the history of Yang Mi Studio, the actress's management company that she first established in collaboration with H&R Century Pictures in 2012 then went official in 2013.
It was rebranded in 2014 through a partnership with two talent managers and has signed artists like Dilraba Dilmurat, Li Xi Rui, Leon Zhang Yun Long, Vengo Gao Weiguang and Zhang Bin Bin, half of which are Sword of Legends alumni for obvious reasons.
Dilraba Dilmurat (age 24) seems to be leading the pack as Yang Mi's (30) potential successor. She has had shining moments in supporting roles like Diamond Lover that had Yang Mi's bestie Tiffany Tang as the lead and last year saw her rise to leading role status in Hot Girl.
This year marks an even more wonderful beginning as she headlines Pretty Li Hui Zhen, the highly anticipated remake of the hit Korean drama She Was Pretty. I always find her cute, charismatic and an altogether decent actress so I am hardly surprised to witness her steady rise to stardom.
It's pretty much a lightbulb moment when I realized why Li Xi Rui (27) and Zhang Bin Bin (23) are also in the cast. Including Vengo Gao (33), the three are often relegated to supporting roles though I harbor high hopes for them to break out of the mold especially Zhang Bin Bin who is stealing the show for me in Pretty Li Hui Zhen.
Last but not the least, I had no idea that Leon Zhang Yun Long (28) was the mischievous cat demon in Sword of Legends though he will soon appear as a martial arts hero in the upcoming sequel to Xuan Yuan Sword.
You can also watch for Three Lives Three Worlds Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, which is Yang Mi's latest Chinese drama that includes quite a few of her Yang Mi Studio family.
