My break from c-dramas continues as I stumble across another k-drama to add to my ever-growing watchlist. I actually missed the Lost bandwagon way back when so the thought of a Korean dramafied version of the same concept is not one that I'm about to miss especially when it gives off the vibe of a dark and suspenseful thriller.
Missing 9 미씽나인 tells the story of nine passengers after they crash land onto a mysterious island. The characters, which range from a has been idol to an A-list celebrity, are a meta to Korean entertainment though the main hook is that terrifying things take place, pushing each of them to the brink.
The TV series stars Jung Kyung Ho, Baek Jin Hee, Choi Tae Joon, Lee Soo Bin, Park Chanyeol, etc. As a fan of Jung Kyung Ho since Smile, You, I would have watched on that basis alone but lucky me, I'm a fan of EXO too.
The plot sounds far from the usual k-drama that I'm used to reading so I am super curious and admittedly a tad worried for the survival of the entire cast. Is it too much to hope for one more happy ending?
Release Date: January 18, 2016 on MBC (eng subs on Dramafever).
