Legend of Dragon Pearl (2017)

Legend of Dragon Pearl
The Legend of Dragon Pearl 龙珠传奇 is 62-episode Chinese palace drama revolving around the romance between Zhu Yi Huan, the last princess of the Ming Dynasty and Kangxi, the young emperor of the Qing Dynasty. She was raised in Dragon Pearl Canyon and trained in martial arts to prepare for the day that she can avenge her people.

The premise reminds me of Princess of Huai Yu and My Bratty Princess, but for what it's worth, it's a sweet story that never gets old and even sweeter when you realize that the main otp are a couple in real lifeIn case someone needs a history refresher, the Ming Dynasty led by the Han people was overthrown by the Manchurians who established the Qing Dynasty, thus resulting in bad blood between the two.

The TV series is brought to us by H&R Century Pictures which brings back a cast of familiar faces starring Yang Zi (The Destiny of the White Snake), Qin Jun Jie (The Lost Tomb 2), Shu Chang (Glory of Tang Dynasty), Mao Zi Jun (Glory of Tang Dynasty), Han Cheng Yu (The Mysterious Team) and Liu Xue Yi (Legend of Chusen).

Release Date: May 8, 2017 Beijing TV and Anhui TV

    2. Well, I never thought I would get into Chinese dramas. i was only gonna stick to KDramas, but Nirvana in Fire changed all that. I've started watching and have queued a few c-dramas, and I feel like going through your old posts and squeeing in the comments, but I figure that would be creepy, lol.
